* LCM examinations have external fees including, but not extensive to, examination fees and accompanist fees. These external fees vary year on year and therefore are not included within quotes and will need to be taken into account prior to courses beginning. Relevant information will be made available prior to the exam year. A one time examination induction is free of charge to enable the assessment of which grading the individual should be aiming for and is usually completed at the first meeting or lesson. Candidates will need to prepare at least one song (recommended two) of their choice to be performed with no backing track or accompanist. Students will be required to provide their own music, including piano accompaniment, in the correct key for all pieces for examination. Backing tracks are currently not accepted for examinations. Fees are due monthly and paid in advance. Examinations are twice yearly (spring and winter), however should the candidate be deemed not ready for examination, regardless if fees have already been paid or not, will not be put forward, and may be delayed to the next available time or longer if deemed necessary. It is possible, but not likely that students may be put forward for more than one examination period within a year. This will alway be discussed beforehand and no decision will be made without input from the student or their parent/guardian (if applicable). Should the student be unable to make an appointment an alternative time slot can be arranged with advanced notice (no later than 48 hours) subject to availability. If there is no availability, or the student cancels less than 48 hours in advance, the student will lose their space and will not be entitled to an alternative appointment or refund. Should Tony not be able to provide a service due to other commitments notice will always be given and  a charge will not be made. Should Tony be unavailable for unforseen circumstances (including other commitments, personal reasons or illness) and a charge has already been made, a refund will be issued.
